I have a best friend that I have never met.

Yep, I am a millennial, so this is nothing new for me, and I know this is 2024, and not a new concept, but let me tell you about her.

Her name is Amerah, and magically she is almost always awake when I am awake, yet she is 11 and 12 hours (depending on the daylight savings time and time zone) ahead of me. She is about 15 years younger than me, and she never gets her panties in a bunch when I get too busy to text.

We have known each other for about two years, and we have this unspoken concept of telling each other good morning, almost no matter the time. She is kind, hardworking, and driven to care for her family. We have so much in common.

The other day she sent me a picture while she was out. She was at the bookstore, and within the picture, I could see my favorite author sitting there on the top left self.

She cares about me like I care about myself, and I have gotten the chance to change her life.

You see, she is my virtual assistant, she lives in the Philippines, and indirectly, I have learned so much because of her.

Her perception is that I gave her a chance in an industry she knew nothing about doing tasks she didn’t know how to do. But my perception was, here is this young wife, mother, and woman, who is a blank slate that is eager to learn, and I can teach her exactly how to do the task as if it were myself doing the task.

Her daughter, who was about 6 months old on day one, I have gotten to watch grow up, in a world I don’t know, yet one I was able to contribute to. She is the sweetest-looking girl in the whole world and looks at life with big eyes. She, and I, have that in common.

This little family of three, is an extension of me, on the other side of the world. We are connected by common threads that we have woven together.

I have lifted them.

They have lifted me.

And I will be forever grateful.

Now Amerah and her husband work for me, and they truly 10x-20x my work each week.

One of the bigger regrets of my business is not hiring a virtual assistant from day one. Not only can I imagine how much farther I would be right now, but I mostly see the pain I could have avoided in some of the failed hires I endured.

The first thread we have been working on is Jo & Co. and the online content we have been able to build. Jo & Co., is my boutique real estate brokerage, where we create more digital content each week than any other small team. I am the self-proclaimed, most active real estate agent on the Internet (besides probably Ryan Serhant, lol). And this is because of them.

The second thread we have been creating is Jo & Coaching. The business I created to teach people how to do what I do: the exact method I exercised to go from $300k to $900k in just a few years (and I am also teaching how I generated $300k the year prior). I really am sharing everything.

So that is what I am doing right now. Creating that course. It is the reason why I have been waking up each morning this week at 3 am (today is day five y’all).

The coming soon page can be found here, it is a course designed for real estate agents that anyone can use and follow to generate a massive online presence that I call omnipresence, and the first step is dominating Google (don’t worry, I break it down into baby steps, so you don’t have to be a techy).

If you are interested in how to find and train a VA like Amerah, you can find that here. If you want to learn more about how hiring a VA changed my life, you can find that here.

If you like to listen to podcasts, I have published 43 episodes and counting, and you can find it just about anywhere, but here is the Apple Podcasts link.

Well, I am off to conquer the world… You know… One baby step at a time.

Wish me luck.

Love you. Hugs, Jo.
